Based in the heart of the beautiful Exmoor National Park in the small hamlet of Hawkridge, Richard gets his inspiration for his woodcarvings from the majestic surrounding of Exmoor. Many of Richard's carvings are of the local wildlife, deer, wild boar, otter and owls to name just a few...

He also can produce mushrooms, planters and beautiful seating for your garden.

Richard took part in the Wood Fair held at Dunster Castle in 2006, with many participants from all over the world. The carvings were all sold on the last day of the fair, with Richard's being bought by a local businessman.

Richard has been commissioned to do a herd of wild boar and the carving is over 23ft long. The main shape has been carved and once sanded and finished will be on display on the Mendip Way.
